Boston College vs. Clemson: RED BANDANA GAME! - Preview & Final Prediction
Boston College (2-3, 1-2 ACC) will be hosting #5 Clemson (5-0, 3-0 ACC) for the annual Red Bandana Game this Saturday Night. This will be the first time Clemson will be playing at Chestnut Hill since 2018, when Boston College hosted ESPN College GameDay. Kickoff will be at 7:30PM ET from Alumni Stadium and will be televised nationally on ABC.
Last week we predicted that Boston College would upset Louisville and it happened, the Eagles won 34-33. This week the Eagles will attempt to pull off what would be one of the most historic wins in BC History by knocking off Top 5 ranked Clemson. Boston College hasn't beat a Top 25 opponent since they upset USC in 2014, and hasn't defeated a Top 5 team since they beat Notre Dame in 2002.
In order to win, Boston College will need to have its best performance to date under Jeff Hafley. They simply will have to execute in all phases, create turnovers, and play their hearts out For Welles.

Boston College is not loosing by three touchdowns on national television when they are playing For Welles. There are still people in the college football world that do not know the story of Welles, and BC is going to make sure that more of the country takes notice. This game is going to be significantly closer than the experts and Vegas think. Don't be surprised if the Eagles are within one score at halftime, heck they might even be up.
Stay away from the over/under - this game will be dominated defensively by both teams, but the offenses will find ways to score late in the game.
Final Score: 27-20 (BOSTON COLLEGE WINS!)

The offensive line will be serviceable enough at the beginning of the game for Jurkovec to make some big plays and score first. This will build a sort of wild momentum in Alumni Stadium that will shock the Clemson sideline and translate into timely plays by the BC defense along with a few turnovers.
